I’ve volunteered with the City of Georgetown Animal Shelter since it began its volunteer program in 1998.
 

I chaired the City of Georgetown Animal Shelter Advisory Board from 2005-2007, spearheaded the revisions to animal-related City ordinances in 2006, and am co-founder and president of Georgetown Animal Outreach, a 501c3. 
 

As a GAO member, I helped with the temporary shelter we operated during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, helping care for the 40 dogs and cats that GAO rescued. 
 

Before opening the pet-sitting business, I worked as a university fundraiser for 16 years.

I live with two lab mixes, Cinder and Ella (and I like cats, too, though none live with us right now).
